Areas of Practice

As a counsellor, I work with adults with a particular focus on working with men and aviation professionals. I can help with addiction, anxiety, low self esteem, feeling stuck, chronic shame, healng past wounds, clarifying values and goals, and helping find meaning in life.

Areas of practice that I work in or am currently developing include working with trauma, complex trauma, PTSD and C-PTSD with a goal of working with first responders. Modalities that I am experienced in or currently undergoing further training with include CBT, parts work (IFS), EMDR, Narrative Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, and aspects of Somatic Experiencing.

Finding your Centre of Gravity

The Centre of Gravity in an aircraft is important. The aircraft has to be balanced within a specific envelope or the performance and safety of the aircraft will be negatively affected. The pilots check that the aircraft is balanced for every flight.

It’s the same for people. Is your life in balance? Are you moving in the right direction? Do you feel lost? That’s where a counsellor can help.

Together, we can chart the course you want your life to take. I can help you clarify your values, learn to manage your emotions, help you in addiction recovery, with anxiety and past wounds and discover what gives your life meaning.

Take the next steps in your journey, and find out if my approach is a good fit for you.
